Types of Actuators
Air/hydraulic actuators are designed to take advantage of available pressurized air sources to produce higher hydraulic pressures. They can be especially useful for towing self-propelled hydraulic brake vehicles when the towing vehicle is equipped with air.
Boosted-two fluid actuators are designed for use on vehicles that are equipped with other hydraulic power devices. This will normally eliminate the need for a separate power brake unit or separate hydraulic fluid system.
Remote actuators are designed to perform several functions. When used with two master cylinders, hydraulic actuators prevent transfer of fluid from one system to another. Hand and pedal operated actuators can also be used as a master cylinder or prime mover. Linkage operated actuators allow you to mount your own pedal or lever arrangement to meet the specific needs of your application.
Pressure intensifiers are ideal for applications where a low-pressure source is available and a small displacement of high-pressure hydraulic fluid is required. Drive axle actuators are designed for use with a variety of CNH (New Holland) drive axles.

Brake Locks
Our Brake Lock portfolio
ZF Brake Locks are for supplemental brake holding and are to be used in conjunction with a vehicle's mechanical parking brake. They perform as operational parking brakes only and are not intended for prolonged parking. There are several brake lock solutions available for single, dual, split, or anti-lock brake systems. The ZF portfolio includes electrohydraulic, dualock, lever, twist, cable actuated, and electric activated. ZF Brake Locks are ideal for construction, mining, agriculture, material handling, multi-stop delivery and recreational vehicles. They fit most medium and light duty trucks equpped with a hydraulic braking system.

691 Brake Lock Systems
691 Brake Lock Sytems automates hydraulic braking pressure in the service brakes to supplement the vehicle's mechanical parking brake and provide extra holding in heavy-duty and high-frequency applications. The 691 Brake Lock significantly enhances vehicle holding capability while not interfering with normal service brake function.
The ZF 691 Brake Lock can be interlocked with other vehicle components/systems such as a power takeoff control, bus door or wheelchair lift to insure the brakes are locked whenever those components/systems are being utilized.

Dual Cable Lock
Dual cable locks are designed to supplement your standard parking brake by utilizing the hydraulic service brakes of a vehicle equipped with a dual or split braking system. These locks provide 4-wheel lockup for hydraulic 3-channel and 4-channel ABS. All dual cable locks include two low-pressure warning switches.
- Holds pressure in two separate brake lines
- Provides four-wheel lockup for hydraulic dual brake systems or rear wheel ABS, and two-wheel lockup for 3 channel (front wheels) and 4 channel ABS (front or rear)
- Has two manually operated one-way check valve

Electric Activated Lock
The ZF Electric Activated Brake Lock supplements the standard parking brake of a vehicle by using a portion of the hydraulic service brake system. The brake lock is installed directly into the vehicles service brake system. It is activated by the flip of a toggle switch located within reach of the vehicle operator. When the operator applies the brake pedal, the brake lock acts as a one-way check valve and holds pressure to the brakes until the lock is released. Service brake operation is not affected by the use of the brake lock.

Lever Lock
Lever locks are designed to supplement your standard parking brake by utilizing the hydraulic service brakes. They are manually operated one-way check valves that lock fluid under pressure in the selected brakes. All lever locks include a low-pressure warning switch.
- Used to lock pressure in a single brake line
- Hand operation leaves the operator's feet free for clutch and throttle pedal operation
- Manually operated one-way check valves lock fluid under pressure in selected brakes

Twist Lock
Twist locks are functionally the same as lever locks. The differences being a twist lock has a rotary action handle and the push rod is sealed and lubricated in silicone grease for tough environmental applications. All twist locks include a low-pressure warning switch.
- Used to lock pressure in a single brake line
- Ideal for tough environmental applications, such as dirt and moisture
- Uses a sealed rotary action handle
